My main interest is definitively M/M, I barely write anything else - too much M/F out there, especially on TV and in movies. Hot men are also fun to look at, a plus if they're together ^_~, and I feel generally close to the gay community even though I'm heterosexual myself.
I started writing even before I knew what fanfiction and original stories were, at 11 years old. Was a M/M story as well, and when my mom asked me if I ever wanted to write a novel I got scared that she had found it out. I stopped for a couple years, until I came accross proper fanfiction - a FF7 fic I found on the net while searching for walkthrus (I'm a big gamer XD). I've been hooked since then. I was about 14 or 15...
My first few fics (badly written) were FF7-related, with some OCs here and there, then I moved to FF9, followed by a crossover period, and landed in Tekken - my first big, well-written and published fics. It lasted a while, but I moved to Onimusha after... the problem being that the community was rather small.
During all those years I kept working on a few characters and finally decided to write my first (published) original story, Take Me Away, which took me nearly a year to finish. I think several people got disappointed with the end but to be honest I couldn't care less - it's my ending and it was planned like this for years.
It must've been some sort of depression after I accomplished my goal (finishing TMA), but it took me nearly 2 years to come up with a decent plot, characters I could relate... motivation to write in general. I had tried writing several times in different fandoms (Death Note, more Tekken and Onimusha) and original stories, but it never really worked until I've started with Sweet As The Punch, only a few weeks ago ^^;.
I try to write with a realist, straightforward style, as opposed to a more lyric/poetic style. If it's related to being French-speaking at first, I don't know.... but I don't think I'm made for a lyrical style anyways. The fact I've read a lot of horror and gore stories (Stephen King, Robin Cook) probably play a bigger role than my original language does. Let's also say I have a good beta XD (and this is where my language plays, I have this habit of translating word-for-word when I'm tired, and I write at night or under pressure XD).
I'll list a buncha fav stuff soon, just something to pass time ^^.
